WAU Movil was founded in 2002, in Latin America with a single focus of helping out companies to reach and monetize mobile subscribers in Latin America. Latin American-based mobile gateway provider with the local resources, relationships and leading edge technologies needed to simplify, speak to and serve the Latin American mobile market.

Business Needs

To create an application that will allow the users of Windows Live Services on the desktop to interact with other users via mobile using text messages.

RapidSoft Role

Provide solution in which the WAU SMS messenger can take all the information from Windows Live Services via XMPP protocol and provide it to the WAU Messenger which would allow the user to chat hassle free on the mobile with the help of text messages.

Solution Overview

Subscription Registration/Activation: Once the user is subscribed to WSM, the user can use service depending on the subscription status. The activation will also be done depending on the carrier registration.

Billing Services: Billing subscription and integration would be handled by WAU billing system through the usage of subscription service APIs.

WSMS Gateway: Current WAU Movil SMS gateway would be used that is connected to the carrier to receive and send the messages

Highlights

There are 50 short codes available for the application in which one short code is for system keyword and the other 49 are for chat conversations. Business model is based on MO/MT billing (message originating and terminating)
